February's Federal Tax Tip 2016

ACA's Employer Mandate

ACA's employer mandate took effect in 2015. Transition rules applied until 2016. Applicable large employers (those with 50 or more full time and full time equivalent employees in 2014) must file 2015 Forms 195-C for all of their full time employees. The new form is meant to help the Marketplace and the IRS know who has employer provided coverage and which employers should be penalized for failing to provide an adequate and affordable insurance plan to their employees.
